Setting up a (fake) subscription

Adding a subscription

Once you have connected your system, it should start collecting some consumption and generation data. In order to benefit from system optimisation, where our algorithms change the work mode of your inverter to maximise savings, you need to add a subscription. In the future, there will be small monthly cost for this (much less we hope than the amount saved via optimisation savings) - but as a beta tester, it will be free for you for a few months.

We are testing our subscription flow, so we will require you going through the process of setting up a subscription. This will create a fake direct debit - you won't connect your real bank account and it won't cost you any money

To set up the subscription:
  1. Click on 'Account' > 'Subscribe
  2. You will be taken to our payment partner, GoCardless. Enter your details, and on the the page that says 'Please select your bank' click 'Read Refund Account bank' - in the final release, this is where you would be logging into your banking app on your phone to set up the subscription.
  3. When the direct debit is set up, you'll be asked to close the page and return to the app.
