How are the savings calculated?

Solar and battery savings are calculated by comparing estimates of your energy costs and what you'd spend if you didn't have a solar system and were on the cheapest flat rate tariff available (purple). 

Optimisation savings - the additional savings calculated by comparing estimates of your energy costs and what they would be if your home battery operated in a solar and usage tracking mode. 

The total savings come from combining these two amounts. 

The advertised savings figure is calculated from having a single 10kWh battery.
